# The Desktop

What players can do on the City Hall PC.

## Apps

| App | Notes |

| Internet | Built-in fictional websites (city portal with links to every service, a search engine, a newspaper). No real internet access. |
| File Explorer | Documents, Pictures, the player's City Hall documents and licenses, app shortcuts. |
| Writer · Spreadsheet · Paint · Notepad | Save files into Documents / Pictures. Spreadsheet supports formulas (`SUM`, `AVERAGE`, `MIN`, `MAX`, `COUNT`, `ROUND`, `ABS`). |
| Photo Viewer | Wallpapers and Paint pictures, slideshow. |

| Command Prompt | `help`, `dir`, `cd`, `type`, `start`, `ping`, `ipconfig`, `color`… |
| Calculator | Standard calculator with memory keys. |
| Control Panel | Wallpaper, window colour, screen saver, clock, mouse, account picture, storage. |

## Player files and settings

Files and desktop settings are stored in the player's own NUI storage (on their PC), not in your database. They persist between sessions on the same computer. Each player has about 5 MB, which the Control Panel → System page shows.

| Drag title bar to an edge | Aero Snap (top = maximize, left/right = half) |
| Ctrl+S | Save in Writer, Spreadsheet, Paint |
