# Localization

> Switch aps_banking to English or German, add your own language, and change the date format and currency layout without rebuilding the UI.

aps\_banking includes English and German. Set the language in `config/config.lua`:

```lua theme={null}
Config.Locale = 'de'
```

To add a language, copy both English files, rename them and translate them. Keep `{placeholders}` and `%s`. Missing texts fall back to English. Both folders stay editable when the resource is escrow-protected, and no rebuild is needed.

In `locales/ui/<lang>.json`, `meta.dateLocale` sets the date format and `meta.currency` the money layout, for example `"{amount} CHF"`.
